We would like to welcome one and all to The Golden Fleece in Denshaw, a home away from home. We are a pub/restaurant based in the heart of the Saddleworth backdrop, just 5 minutes from junction 22 of M62 and a leisurely 10 minute drive from Oldham Town Centre. We are a relaxed country pub with warming fires and panoramic views of the surroundings countryside. Whether your visit is for a simple fresh coffee, light lunch or more informal gathering we offer food and drink tailored to all tastes and requirements. Plus we cater for all walks of life with special health and dietary needs.

We offer modern British favourites and classics blended with an up to date twist. Our chef director changes the menu every season and insists on using on fresh and locally sourced seasonally fayre from his reportorie of loyal suppliers. You are more than welcome to watch our chefs at work in our open theatre kitchen, creating some culinary masterpieces.

We are open for food and drink 7 days a week from 12 noon till 11pm. Last food order taken at 10.00pm (9pm on Sunday evenings). We offer a late bar on a Friday and Saturday evenings. We are now open for breakfast or morning coffee from 8am. Families and children are most welcome at all times.

Our new function room is now available to hire for all occasions. Whether it be a networking meeting for local businesses, a birthday party and family celebrations, we can make your day or evening a memorable one.

The Saddleworth Cookery School
Do you want to become one of the next great chefs of the decade or you have a passion for food, but just do not know how to cook it. The Saddleworth Cookery School is offering personal or group tuition for all levels of ability. Lessons start at £20.00 per session or a 5 week block booking £80 which includes a FREE Restaurant Service with our award winning chefs. Ideal as a birthday or christmas present. And we will even take you on a 'busy service' with our team of chefs.

We have developed Hire A Chef - simply choose your menu and we will bring the restaurant to your house, complete with your own personal chef and waiting on staff. And we even do the washing up.
